Into Cape Town

Friday

Today was the day that…

I went into Cape Town. I did a bit of work first and then had an appointment with the surgeon who will be assisting my main surgeon for the jaw surgery, but he will also be putting in the implant. His office is at Chris Barnard Memorial Hospital. It was great to go for a drive on this cold wintery day. The city was quiet and there was plenty of parking. I snapped a photo of the Cape Town Civic Centre where Mike spent donkey’s years.

With the appointment behind me, I did a shop and came home.

I had a meeting with the company managing director which was great. Told her about my surgery. I can have whatever time off I need.

Mike spent the entire day doing electrics with Courage at Echo. He came home briefly to pick up something and should be home soon. The house is so quiet without him.

It’s the weekend and I’m really looking forward to Monday when I can go exercising any time, although still not to the gym. They will not be open for a while.
