I LOVE December

I have always loved Christmas, but the start of December took on a whole new significance for me when December 1987 came around and on the 1st December I was hugely pregnant and about to pop. Since then, when 1st December arrives, I love it!

A new month.

This morning Mike and I took a drive OTM to the Blue Route to browse and do some shopping. We hadn’t had breakfast so after finding what we were looking for we went to what used to be Tribakery restaurant in the Blue Route but it is now Stella’s!

Breakfast was good.

Energised for the day, when we got home, my main job was to clean the bedroom. It got a good December 1 deep clean – all of it except my study which is still quite messy. Needs to be sorted again. Isn’t housework crazy? Just two of us and yet the trail of debris we seem to create is surprising! Anyway, it’s wonderful to have the most of it done.

Mike and I drank tea in the garden and then Stacey phoned which was also a welcome break.  I also cleaned out a whole batch of stuff and have bagged it. Valerie Gail is stopping by tomorrow to take it off to the Beautiful Gate shop.

#969 of my 1000 thanks is for decluttering!  It’s a start! I have a long way to go!

David has uploaded a new piece. This is his latest…very cool.

He popped in last night and spent a couple of hours visiting which was very nice.

Hebrews 12:14

Make every effort to live in peace with everyone

It’s been a good 1st December.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

  • 65 minutes on the treadmill – just over 8km
  • 31 minutes on the bike – 12km

As I finished on the bike I got a call. The caller told me I’m often at the gym and what am I training for? I told him “old age!”

Braces:

Day 18.
