I Didn’t Think I’d Say This…

I really didn’t think I’d hear myself saying this: ” I hope the rain stays off until my washing is dry!”

Let it rain any time.

I haven’t done a load of washing for ages and today was the day to catch up. Today no rain was forecast so I did two huge loads…one of linen and light colours and the other dark colours. They got 90% dry and are now hanging all over the house, drying indoors.

#702 of my 1000 thanks was seeing my favourite clothes back in circulation. Yay!

A little rain is forecast for tomorrow. The dams are filling. Look at the comparison between now and the years gone by:

  • 25/6/2018 :42.7%
  • 18/6/2018: 38.1%
  • 2016: 35.7%
  • 2015: 52.8%
  • 2014: 94.2%

This happened in June 2015- mud slides on Chapman’s Peak Drive.

I worked today and did some research on windows. The new house to be built, God willing, is in planning. Mike is meticulous. He is just about doing the plans for the entire house before giving them to the architect. Hopefully a stitch in time will save nine! Haven’t used that saying for a very long time.

Proverbs 14:33

Wisdom is enshrined in an understanding heart.

Enjoy every day. I know it’s easy to say but not always easy to do. Life is short. Today, my older brother, had he lived would have turned 58. His life was cut short on 9-9-2007, when he died unexpectedly. Arnie is deeply loved and very missed.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

  • Fast walk –  30 minutes
  • The Grid – 30 minutes – it was perfect. My heart rate was only 131 at the end.
  • Bike – 3 minutes to cool down.
