Good Friday 2018

Because Easter falls on different days each year, it’s good to remember when they happen. Today, Friday 30th March 2018 is Good Friday. The holiest day of the year, the day we remember the death of Christ.

Justin Holcomb said,  “Good Friday marks the day when wrath and mercy met at the cross. That’s why Good Friday is so dark and so good.”

The day Jesus died for us.

One week ago today,  a French police officer,  Lt. Col. Arnaud Beltrame gave his life for another. He walked into a hostage drama and exchanged himself for a female hostage who was being held as a human shield. A short time later, he was shot and stabbed and died of his wounds the next day.

What an illustration of what Christ did for us. He stepped into the hostage drama of our lives. We were being held hostage to sin, He came in and took our place so that we could live.  Arnaud Beltrame died a hero.

Jesus Christ is my Hero. He died not only in my place but for each and every person who walks the earth. We just have to believe that.  When we believe, we begin a relationship with God that will change our lives.

#614 of my 1000 thanks is for this day. It has been peaceful and quiet. A day of remembering what Christ did and being thankful.

2 Peter 1:2

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Amen!

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
