Getting into the Christmas Vibe

Monday

Today was the day…

We put the Christmas tree up in the guesthouse! Not that it took too much time. Ruth came to clean ahead of guests coming in tomorrow. They are a busy family of 5, with 15 year old twins and an 11 year old. They booked quite a while ago (on 6th October)  and I was really excited about their 6 night reservation.  I went down to the house around 3:30pm and Ruth had done a great job in getting it ready. She was really keen to see the Christmas tree go up, so together we unpacked it and assembled it in the corner of the lounge. Tada!

The tree  has lights already fixed to it. I thought it would be fun to leave other decorations for the kids to put on. We are definitely getting into the Christmas Vibe.

I worked 8 hours. We did no exercise with the wind from the south-east and the sea a bit choppy. I’m hoping for a dip tomorrow.

One interesting thing that happened today was the chat I had with Thinus. Thinus is staying in the Little Lookout and is finishing up an (almost) three week yachting course through Professional Yachtmaster Training. They have courses right through the year and are always looking for accommodation, so he said he will speak to the guy who runs the course about the potential we have in our rentals. It may be a good contact to have, although Airbnb is working well for us right now.

It’s been a good satisfying Monday.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
