Follow Up to Yesterday’s Tragedy

This morning news broke that not only had Austin Wesson died in a car accident but his wife of one day had succumbed to her injuries as well.

Austin’s family are hastily making arrangements to fly to the States to lay him to rest. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to try to help them meet the financial needs they will face. You can access it here.

We don’t know exactly what is on the other side.  I have an inkling that if we knew, we would not be in such a rage to stay behind. Two things we know:

  1. Austin and Rebekah are happy.
  2. We will join them in time.

This is not the end.

1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love Him.

Today I also think of Granny who would have celebrated her 93rd birthday. She too rejoices in eternity….here she is on her 87th birthday, six years ago…

Today has been a full work day. I’ve taken a couple of walks to give my eyes a break. On one of them, we walked down to the Sun Valley Pond. Even though there has not been much rain, it has filled up a lot…I guess there is water running off the mountain…this was it today…

And this was it almost two weeks ago.

Grateful!

It’s really looking great…

And the ducks are loving it!

#381 of my 1000 thanks is that the books arrived safely in Johannesburg. As I speak they are being unloaded. I’m feeling for the team that has that job!

Live each day in light of eternity.

These are the days!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
