Ewww, Nasty Behind There…

Saturday

Today was the day…

I did quite a deep clean of the kitchen. Maybe I should say I started a deep clean of the kitchen. I have a l-o-n-g way to go. I was going to clean the kitchen floor, but every time I do, I get really irritated by the visible dirt under the stove, so I decided to deal with it. I moved the stove…Eww, nasty behind there!

I cleaned that up and then cleaned the kitchen floor. Much better.

Mike worked quite a lot in the garage.

I downloaded photos that I took last night at Echo. Mike and I went through to see the work he and Courage had done in the rental unit. It’s looking great! Tiles down and have been grouted…

Mike’s put spots in…waiting for the cornices to arrive…

Distribution board for this floor…just needs touching up around the edges.

These photos are all at night so are pretty bad, but here’s  Mike and David on the balcony…

View from the rental balcony…

It was encouraging to see it all. Today, the wood for the kitchen units was due to be delivered but when Mike phoned this morning, they said they would come Monday, so Mike was able to enjoy a more relaxed day, although he did a whole lot of preparation for Monday. He’ll work with Courage to assemble the kitchen. It’s going to be busy for Mike from now on as on Monday we move to Level 3 Lock down when all construction can go full steam ahead. Werner is going to move as quickly as possible and has told Mike he’s going to have to work hard to keep up. We are grateful for Courage! We could move into the rental when it’s finished, except it will only have hot water once the entire house it built and has solar, so I think we’ll stay put for the moment.

Isaiah 65:24

“I will answer them before they even call to Me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayer.”

This verse so reminds me of what happened to  me a few years ago when we were in the middle of an onslaught of burglaries. The finger print policeman had come and instead of giving useful suggestions to combat crime, he put the fear of more crime into our heads, telling us if they want to get in, they will. There’s nothing you can do about it. 😨 I was mortified. Right after that I went to the Mall to do some shopping and I was thinking about everything the policeman had been saying and how hopeless I felt. It was around 5pm and as I walked out of Checkers, I prayed something like, “Lord, please send someone! I need encouragement right now, please let me meet someone I know.” I was deep in the middle of this prayer that I didn’t hear ‘Hey, hey!’ behind me. Suddenly, my shoulder was tapped. I turned and there was RIANA! My mouth fell open and I was speechless. She said, ‘What? What is it?’ I stared at her not believing my eyes! “You are an answer to prayer! ” I sure was still talking about my needs, when God went ahead and answered my prayer. When I arrived home and Mike came to greet me, I said, “Everything is going to be alright.”  What an encouragement that was.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
