Even if it is only for 4 days…

2-40pm

It was a very late night last night. Julian arrived from Joburg after 11-30pm. I must get used to the idea. He had me book another 6 flights in the months ahead and most of the arrival flights arrive at 11-30pm! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thankfully we have David who happily makes the airport run to pickย  him up! Last night, we went out for dinner with Peter and I enjoyed a fabulous lamb curry. It was really good. We came home and enjoyed coffee, while watching the Lance Armstrong / Oprah interview. This was followed by a long chat, that covered many different topics. This was concluded when David, Jack and Anton arrived. They then had coffee and headed to the airport. I ended up staying awake for them to return and then I went to bed.

I was up early this morning to make Granny tea. We had come to the conclusion that it is easy, in this heat, for her to dehydrate. Around 9am, we went down to the Mall for breakfast. Peter had the opportunity to catch up a bit with Julian….

Julian Peter and Me

For the rest of this morning, we watched cricket and I booked air tickets for Julian.ย  I did one other booking: THIS NEXT WEEKEND WE ARE GOING AWAY!!!!!ย  We have booked for Granny to go into a frail care for 4 nights and for two of those we are going out of town!

When people ask how Granny is, I always have the same response, “she is very frail.” She is. The night pill has worked well and she is not getting up at night, but she is slow and stiff and more and more difficult to manage. I am beginning to feel more inadequate in caring for her.ย  I’m beginning to think she would be safer and happier in a frail care with 24 hour care. I think she may feel more cared for.ย  Anyway, one day at a time. We’ll see what transpires. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  I have to admit that the idea of not needing to think about her all the time, will be a great relief….even it is only for 4 days.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

Back to the cricket. Mike says New Zealand will win. I say South Africa will win. If Mike is right I have to pay for next weekend’s accommodation. If I am right, Mike pays! 3 wickets down – watch SA win! Watch this space.

Isaiah 26:3 comes to mind, “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”

That is a great blessing!

God bless you enormously!

In His Grip,

Helga xx ๐Ÿ™‚
