Elsie Turns One!

Today we woke up at about 4-15am and by 4-45am we were on our way to Swellendam! We passed 63 cars on Baden Powell drive, got all the traffic lights through Somerset West green and were passing Paul Cluver wine estate 58 minutes after leaving home.  We made the best time getting to Swellendam, arriving at 7-15am. It took us only 2.5 hours.

It was wonderful to see the family. Elsie has grown so much and remains adorable – getting cuter by the day. We had a fabulous time with the family, birthday breakfast, gift opening and a cake smash. Proud Mom with birthday girl…

Elsie contemplating her next move….

It was wonderful and the  visit was the highlight of our day.

In the afternoon we said our goodbyes and headed for Caledon where we checked into the Hot Springs. Room with a view…

After a swim in the hot springs, we chilled for a bit and then this evening went to Fat Henry in Caledon for dinner.

Back to the hotel, a quick visit to the gym and now I’m in bed wrapping up the day with my regular routine.

Tomorrow, we rest, chill and recharge ahead of the work that is ahead.

We had news that to continue our build, we have to change the plans to include two garages and slight changes to the appearance of the new build so it has a feature of the current one. So that’s next.  A delay? Yes, but not a stone wall. One thing at a time.

Pslam 33:4

For the word of the Lord is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.
