Easter Sunday 2018

The last time Easter Sunday was on 1st of April was in 1956. It was before I was born! It will be again in 2029. For us it has been a quiet day. We (Mike, me, Julian and David) went to the Fish Hoek Methodist Church Easter Sunday service which was packed…

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Happy Easter.

After church we went out for breakfast (Chalk and Cheese was open). I spotted a cushion I liked. My love of Italy and that I’ve been to Pisa made me comment on it. Julian bought it for me for my birthday (which is hilarious as my birthday is 7 months away!)

#616 of my 1000 thanks is for my lovely new Italy cushion and Julian’s generosity!  It’s now in my house and I love it!

Here’s a blast from the past. Julian and I at the leaning tower of Pisa in March 2011. I am in better shape now. Then I was only 46!  Mike took the picture.

After breakfast we came home and watched some cricket and really had a restful day. This afternoon I went to the gym to swim. I spent about 50 minutes in the pool and swam about 60 lengths.

James 1:12

Blesses is the one who perseveres under trial because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
