Early Morning Elsie’s Peak Hike

This morning I was up early and by 6ish Adrian, Stacey and I left to walk up Elsie’s Peak. The day dawned still and perfect and the view quickly became glorious…

Walking up

The surrounding vegetation has been burned from a fire just over a month ago, so suddenly things become a lot more visible…like the Elsies Peak sign….

The landscape is stark…

Walking over the saddle brings you out on the Simonstown side…

Early morning on Elsies Peak

The antenna is more visible with all the surrounding bush burnt…

And the view from the top is as spectacular as always…

On the way back down, we took a side path to a view point…

And then started the walk down again…

Once again, I marvelled at the beauty we have all around us here in Cape Town.

The fairest Cape in all the world.

Psalm 113:3

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

We got home just before 8, in time to cook a fried breakfast for Adrian, Stacey, David, Claire, Mike & I. With all this family around, you know my cup is full! heart_jpeg_25x25

Off now to get ready for my quick Durban trip. Hopefully, I’ll post a blog tomorrow evening.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
