Ear Infection

Thursday

Today I went to my GP. It’s the first time since 2017 that I’ve needed to go to a GP. I’ve had a few issues with my left ear particularly but today when not only was it blocked and sore, but I also had a bit of vertigo and a swollen gland, it was time.  He wanted to put me on oral antibiotics, but I am  not a fan and haven’t had antibiotics for a very long time, so he’s given me drops to put in 4 times a day until it’s better and then twice a day. We’ll see how that goes. The one thing he did send me away with was a blood test form to have a fasting blood test for my cholesterol, blood sugar and HBA1C. This is not going to be a good result. I was thinking of doing it tomorrow, but maybe I’ll do it next week….did you pick up some procrastination in that sentence?  Right, maybe next month or next year!

Mike and I walked down to the pond. With all the rain we have had I was keen to see. This was it July last year…

The water level is higher today than then.

This was it on 9th June this year, just 6 weeks ago…

This is the Cape Town dam storage from 2015 to now.

Today the dam levels are 70.1% So much to be thankful for. Look at 2017 – just 27.2%. Wow.

So I worked and I read and Truffles slept on my bed. Note the paw on my leg, just keeping tabs on me!

Got to love winter!

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂

Gym:

I almost went to gym, but my ear pain put me off. I walked as a compromise.
