Definitely A More Balanced Day

Definitely a more balanced day today indeed.  My day by numbers…

  • Woke up at 6.
  • Pilates at 7.
  • Shower at 8ish.
  • Been working for a while by 9.
  • Tea with friends at 10-30am.
  • Home at noon.
  • Skype call at 3pm.
  • Stopped work just after 5pm.
  • Walked for a bit at about 6pm.
  • Have done 5602 steps.
  • And here I am at 8ish.
  • I worked just over 7 hours today.
  • My niece Jessica turns 24.

I bought a R1000 electricity. I thought we were using about R1000 over 6 weeks, but that is clearly completely inaccurate because I’ve just had a look at all our transactions over the last 19 months. What has happened is the cost of electricity has gone up so when I’ve bought R1000, I’ve got less days for it. Also I bought for Echo Road a couple of times, most recently because the piling work being done needed electricity (that’s the 071 meter number).

So we spent R10 000 on electricity in 2018, but have already spent R4000 this year.  When we move, we plan to use more solar than Eskom.  This is a good record to have. I find myself referring back to my blog for a number of things and in the future, this may just be one of them.

Today, I contacted the plans lady to ask if there was any news. She said tomorrow she will try get hold of the Land Use officer and see if there is a status report on the plans. It’s only the Lord who knows when we will get the go ahead on this big project. Mike and I still shake our heads in disbelief that this could even be a possibility. Unless the Lord builds the house, they that build it labour in vain.

Psalm 94:18

When I said, “My foot is slipping,” Your unfailing love, Lord, supported me.

And that is a great comfort.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
