David’s Place is Now Ship-Shape

Friday

Today was the day…

Ruth came and cleaned David’s place – it’s now ship-shape. A prospective tenant arrives to view it tomorrow. If he doesn’t take it, an agent representing a vet from Durban comes on Wednesday.  It’s looking clean and sparkly. It’s not on Airbnb and it doesn’t have a name yet. If we rent it to a longer staying tenant, it may just take on their name. It’s no longer David’s place – so today’s clean was bitter sweet.

It’s really functional with a great view and ideal for a single person or couple. It hasn’t taken long to get some interest. If I don’t get someone soon, it will go up on Airbnb, hence the photos. I think there are 64 steps to the front door, so not for the faint-hearted. Parking is on the street or the kerb – whichever is available.

Tomorrow the cottage guests leave and three guys arrive on the back of motorbikes! They are spending tonight in Mossel Bay. We’ll make sure the braai is available for them!

The most frustrating thing this week is the Atos went in for a repair and the mechanic can’t get the part! So exasperating because Julian is here and now can only use his motorbike. So inconvenient. Anyway, we are hoping Mr Mechanic will be able to find the right part soon and the little car will be reassembled and back on the road. At the moment, it’s camping in Ocean View. These little things can be the most annoying.

Anyway, it’s the weekend and I’m looking forward to it.

Ephesians 1:11

Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
