Cricket and Wind

Sunday

It’s been a really windy day today. The wind is expected to drop on Tuesday and be pretty windless until Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday look quite still as well.

Meantime, South Africa played a second T20 against Australia today. We got thumped in the first one. Today SA batted first and didn’t post a massive score (147). It looked like Australia would romp home but due to some brilliant bowling at the end, the visitors couldn’t clinch it and only scored 30 runs in the last 5 overs. It wasn’t enough and South Africa won by 12 runs. It was soooo exciting!

It’s always interesting to see what I was doing a year ago. I came across this photo that Stacey sent, capturing Elsie on the move! Stacey, this was 23rd February 2019!

So cute.

Also a year ago this week, we got notification from the City that we needed to pay 5 amounts for storm water, water, solid waste, sewerage and transport and roads, all amounting to R23 128.41, so that got done. This was the plot on 27th February 2019…the sticks were where the side of the new house will go! Yip they are pretty much there. At this stage it was so hard to imagine.

Today has been a quiet day. Mike and I rested a lot, did some reading and I visited the Berettas this afternoon for David and Kate’s baby shower. They are having a little baby girl in April.

It’s been a good day to press the restart button and tomorrow, we will hit the road running.

Philippians 2:13

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
