CCFm Carols by Candlelight

2-59pm

I’m popping up this quick blog because in half an hour I’m off to Muizenberg, first to interview Dee and then to the CCFm Carols by Candlelight. It’s going to be a fabulous evening with less wind than previous years and lots of great entertainment. I am so looking forward to it.

For us, the day began soon after 5am when we went for a run around the block. This is a safe way to run, because if you don’t feel like going very far, you can bail out. After 3.2km, I bailed and Mike continued. I sat at the garage door and waited for him, enjoying the early morning…

After showering, I fell asleep again!!! And only woke at 9am! I made Granny breakfast & then Mike & I went to the Mall for our breakfast. We met Richard and Ingrid who heard my voice and recognised it from Rise and Shine and came to say hello! Great to meet them!

While walking through the Mall, I took Mike to see Jhenn’s artwork displayed in one of the passages. Jhenn is Pastor Guy Shaw’s older daughter! She was a finalist in a local art competition.

Clever girl!

Later, I left Mike at home and went to the FH library. It is a wonderful facility and well frequented by the locals…

Mike took his Mom (aka Granny) out for tea and chocolate cake. On their return I made toasted sandwiches for lunch and watched an amazing documentary on Kevin Richardson and his ‘Lion Kingdom’. He is also known as the Lion Whisperer and I see online that the website is called www.lionwhisperer.co.za.  Fantastic to see National Geographic has been broadcasting his amazing story. He is doing South Africa proud. 🙂

Time to post this blog and then head off to a fun evening.  If you are in the area and get to read this in time to come to the Carols, Rise and Shine coffee mugs will be on sale for R40. (Main Rd Muizenberg from 6pm)

Psalm 16:5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.

That’s the truth.

Zillions of rich blessings!

In His Grip…

Helga 🙂
