Catching up on some zzzzz

2-39pm

I’ve had some sleep debt…a couple of nights with not enough sleep, so today, I did things differently! Right after a busy, upbeat Rise and Shine show, I left CCFm and went home! Of course, the roadworks were initially in the way, so I took advantage of enjoying the view…

View from the roadworksI stopped by the Pathologists to have some bloods done because I’m doing the responsible thing and having a check-up on Tuesday. Back at the house, I enjoyed finding a cat in a box…

Cat in a boxBut Truffles was not all that impressed….look at this expression!

What you doing disturbing meLOL. 🙂 Funny cat! I had a nice nap, did a few things, like shop and have spent the afternoon chilling.  Then the rain came…

RainSo I made butternut and orange sweet potato soup….here it is cooking away…

Butternut and sweet potato soupI’ll blend it before Mike gets home and serve it with toasted sandwiches.

I had a short online chat with Stacey. She and Adrian are leaving Cambodia on Sunday and going to Vietnam for 2 months. It’s a short hop by plane. They initially planned to go by bus but the bus trip was something ridiculous like 6 hours, although the distance is only 200km.  So they leave Pnom Penh and head for Ho Chi Minh City, which was Saigon in the old days…

MapI miss Stacey and Adrian! By the time we wake up on Sunday morning, they will be in Vietnam. Regardless of where they are in the world, what the time is there, what the people are like, how many churches there are or mosques or temples, God is there.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

Tomorrow, I am onair at 6am Cape Town time. Do tune in. I’ve got a testimony at 6-15am – that’s 14 minutes long. Then at 7am, a 34 minute message on The Final Hours by Andy Stanley. Focus on the Family at 8am looks deeper at the story of Easter. You can listen to me by clicking “Listen Live” at www.ccfm.org.za

God bless you richly this Easter.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
