There have been many celebrations up to today. It feels as if I need a stamp just to 
formalise the day! We began by going out for breakfast at one of my latest favourite places (Ellies Deli at A.P. Jones) where I had a bacon, feta and avo omelette…
It was GOOD! We got home and prepared our picnic for a 9km hike up Silvermine. We walked up the right side of the reservoir and round to the Noordhoek look out point. It is looking magnificent with beautiful flowers all around…
Once you get to the top of the mountain, it is essential to take a walk to the Eagles nest lookout. Nothing less spectacular, you are high above Hout Bay…
We soon arrived at our picnic spot. It’s at the top of a kopje overlooking Noordhoek beach, but from up there you have a 300 degree view from Muizenberg, all the way round to Fish Hoek and to Chapman’s Peak. We lost no time in setting up our picnic…
And sat down to enjoy it…

We soon got back to the reservoir…
And crossed the bridge back to the car…

No reason to be late again! It’s been a beautiful day and it’s not over yet. I’m posting this and then off to caddie for Mike – 9 holes of golf. Then dinner!
Thank you Jesus for 50 glorious years; for the buzzing of my cell phone as messages come through, for loads of phone calls and FB messages. I feel the Love! I am grateful for all the years You have given me and I commit to follow You all the days of my life.
