Big White Cat

Sunday

Today when I woke up in Swellendam, it was raining! I got up and went to the kitchen only to hear a piteous meowing. I wondered where it came from. I opened the blinds to look out the window expecting to see it on the road outside. Instead, there on the window sill was a massive snow-white cat. I opened the window and it shot inside. It rubbed itself on the wall and on the leg of the chair and meowed hungrily. We had no food so I gave it a bit of milk. She drank a bit of the milk but then jumped up on the sink and started licking the tap! She then put her front paws into the sink and drank the water in the basin…

Then it was all over the place. It went onto David’s bed for a while and also snuggled up on ours. It stayed until we left.

We packed up and at about 8am, we went to Adrian and Stacey for coffee. We spent some time with them before saying goodbye and heading back to Cape Town. It was an uneventful trip – the weather was cool with a little rain before Sir Lowry’s Pass. We dropped David at his place and came home.

This afternoon I had quite a bit of work to catch up on so I spent a few hours doing that.  I wish I could say I’ve got ahead for tomorrow, but I know that I have about 20 emails in my inbox. The week ahead is going to be a busy one, culminating in Cape Town interviews next Sunday. A week tomorrow I will hopefully be a little less busy.

And now it’s time to wrap up the day and head for bed.

Romans 14:17

The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,
