Berg Winds

Today was hot. We are mid-winter, dry and desperate for rain. The dam levels have done well with the rain that fell a week ago, but since, we have had sunshine and plenty of it. Today the berg winds blew…

They are not a new phenomena and have long been spoken about and written of…

#727 of my 1000 thanks is washing dries in no time in these conditions. I took advantage of it!

This morning, Mike & I had breakfast with Julian and then Mike left to do more training. His last day is tomorrow.  Afterwards, Julian and I walked back to Echo and stopped to admire the garden at the Highway/Echo Road junction. This garden is tended by local residents and it looks amazing….

Julian took me home and then used my car to do his work. I got stuck into work of my own. It actually turned out to be more than I expected. I did about 3 and a half to 4 hours today. Things should be a little quieter tomorrow because it’s the Middle East weekend and a couple of my UAE based colleagues are off.  Mike arrived home at about 3-30pm and Julian came an hour later. He and I drove back to Echo and then walked to Kalk Bay where we met Mike and David for dinner. This is a nice routine to have every other Thursday!

Meantime, our TV viewing has been focused on the British Open Golf tournament where 12 South Africans are part of the prestigious field. Day 1 has seen some success for three of them particularly. Let’s hope they can keep it up tomorrow. By the end of play, Brandon Stone was 5th.

Come on South Africa!

Isaiah 43:1

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name, you are Mine.

What a wonderful reminder for each one of us.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

Helga xx 🙂
