Back to the Grid

Monday

Today has not been a bad day. I woke up quite early and started working. Yesterday evening, I did quite a lot of work, so this morning just had a couple of emails. As I was up to date, I headed out to gym on a caffeine high. I had decided to do the Grid again! I clearly have not lost any of my fitness and managed it quite well…in fact probably better than previously. But it is still exhausting!

It’s high intensity interval training and it really pushes your heart rate up and then brings it down. You are constantly on the move, up and down, working different muscle groups. I had to smile at the end – I haven’t done it for such a long time but I remembered how effective it is – just so appeals to me. 30 minutes and it really packs a worthwhile punch.

Back just after 9am, I had a shower and then breakfast. More work followed.

One of the things that also did happen today is we finalised and paid for our trip to Egypt. Now we can move forward to get the visas.

This afternoon I went shopping because this evening a family are coming for dinner. They have just moved into the area and are still unpacking so I invited them over. It’s nothing fancy – Woollies lasagne… this is the reason the blog is early. Then I can get on with all the bits and pieces that need getting on with.

The weather today has been cloudy and chilly with intermittent showers. I think there may have been a couple of workers at the building site but I don’t think too much work will have got done. Maybe Mike and I can sneak down at 5pm just before dinner needs to go in the oven. The rain is mainly over although a shower has been predicted for tomorrow. The dam levels have risen by more than 3% over the last week…largely due to Thursday and Sunday rainfall….that’s how much rain we had…a stack!

I  also  saw  the  local  government  has released  a new  photo  of  the  roadworks  progress – this is behind our house. It’s  looking  good…

Everything takes time but eventually it gets done.

Psalm 69:13

I keep praying to You, Lord, hoping this time You will show me favour. In Your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with Your sure salvation.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
