Amazing Fish Hoek Through Aly’s Lens

Saturday

Today was the day…

Of Heritage Day in South Africa.  The day was calm with a sunny start. Lots of things happened at the beach and in the sea & they were perfectly captured by Aly Ison, so I give her all the credit for the amazing photos she posted on Facebook. There were loads of surf-skiers out on the water and Aly was down on the beach watching them set off…

Then way before I walked past, I heard a report that an aggressive seal was on the beach and had tried to bite someone. Aly got the photos…it looks a bit injured…

Don’t come near me!

The folks that deal with injured seals came but by the time they arrived, it had disappeared.

I walked down to the shops to buy breakfast food. Came home and had breakfast on the balcony.

Throughout the day there was something to see including multiple whale sightings.  Again Aly Ison was down on the road with her massive lens…

And in the skies above, the little acrobatic plane that freaked me out the other week… Aly got the photo…

Meanwhile, in Simon’s Town there was a regatta of sorts – Aly again…. She is such a talented photographer.

So there was plenty to see this Heritage Day and Aly Ison summed it up in her amazing photos.

I had a good chat with Stacey who is looking so well. Elsie popped in and out, but I had her watching intently as I caught a fly in a glass, covered it with a piece of paper and let it go off the balcony. Some things are just too important to miss!

We have a young lady staying in the Little Lookout for another month. She is on her own and so I invited her up for tea. We had tea together and I found out  more about her.

We had Ken come over for dinner. He leaves tomorrow. We had a good chat. He’s a really nice guy. We like Ken. He went off to find a place to watch the rugby. Mike is still busy with the conference and I am now going to shower because I’m cold.

A great Saturday.

Isaiah 43:18

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

The best is yet to come – we are only passing through.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
