About Getting Angry and Hating My Life!

7-04am

Sometimes I have conversations with people about this blog and how it is always happy and upbeat and how my life glows! In response, I say there have been sad times…I mean Granny died…that was sad. And we’ve had a couple of cats put down which wasn’t great. But Every single day you make a choicegenerally it is true that I look on the ‘view’ side of life. I’m the one with the binoculars, sitting up straight, looking out the window with the sun shining on me, the wind in my hair and a smile on my face. I AM an optimist and I am happy to say so! But, I do get annoyed, I do get frustrated and I do have flashes of insanity when I may momentarily think ‘I hate my life!’ Of course I don’t! But just to let you know on this journey of life, I am normal. I crave chocolate cake. I feel like vegging out and lying on the couch doing nothing all day. I leave dirty dishes in the sink and sandy socks on the floor. Sometimes I go to bed without brushing my teeth. I don’t feel like doing a lot of things. Eventually, though, I pick myself up and try and get the balance going again. I get up, freshen up, clean up and cheer up. And that is all normal. The most important thing is that I actually DO do all that stuff to get back into sync. It’s fine to let it all go, but it has to be temporary and the shorter the better. Life feels good when everything is in balance….spiritually, I’m praying and reading the Bible, emotionally, I’m socialising, going to church and meeting my Smiley ballfriends, physically, I’m exercising and walking, mentally, I’m working and thinking and fulfilling my responsibilities. It is true that we have choices regarding everything in our lives. We have to aim to make the right choices. So as you choose what to wear in the morning, so also choose to be happy on this day. Choose to smile. Choose to look on the sunny side of life and dwell on the good things that happen. I think it all begins in our heads. In order to be happy, we have to take control of the negative thinking that pervades our brains and tell ourselves a different story. Something chemically bad happens in or brains and bodies  when we think & speak negatively. And the converse is true. When we think and speak positively, something chemically good happens in our brains and bodies. So get rid of the toxic thinking today, replace the negative with positive. It works!!!Good Times aheadRegardless of your circumstances, you can be assured of good times ahead because you trust the One who made you and who is ultimately in control of all that happens in your life. When you trust Him, you will feel a deep seated security and peace, that only He can give.

Words of Jesus in John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Be of good cheer today!

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
