Yesterday afternoon, Julian and I decided on the spur of the moment to drive through and visit Granny. After we had done that, we took a walk through the Company Gardens…wow, what a wonderful walk… there was so much going on…we saw a baby shower, a wedding party having their photos taken and an film shoot for an advert! It’s a free afternoon entertainment for the whole family…here are the photos. The ducks were very tame and came rushing towards us hoping for a handout….
The chicks on the duckpond were completely adorable and I wanted to take one home….

Walking along Government Avenue, we passed a horse and cart…I’d love to go on this one day…
There are plenty of squirrels…
…and children to feed them…

And then of course, there is the office of the State President… Tuynhuys…
It was originally built in 1700. Such a beautiful day!
We also passed a fountain with a good reminder of the water of life Jesus offers…
John 4: 14 “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
A lovely afternoon. When Julian comes again, we’ll do it again and maybe visit the Planetarium or the Castle! 🙂
For today, we had church, lunch and now I’m doing show prep and watching cricket!
