A Photo For Stacey….

1-11pm

I am missing Stacey so much! I’m going to see if she is online and available for a chinwag! The reason why I’m missing her more than normal is I went via the wool shop. Stacey, spent many an evening with a group of women at the Fish Hoek knitting club. When I walked in today, I asked them if they remembered my daughter Stacey!  The response was over-the-top!   “Yes, STACEY!!!!! How is she? She took our bag pattern and completely overhauled it!! We were talking about her the other day! Where is she?” I told them she’s in Cambodia and asked if I could take a photo for Stacey….

KnittersThey were delightful, gushing over how clever Stacey is! She left a lasting impression of these ladies, by looking at their bag pattern and instead of following it, she re-wrote it! They were gob-smacked. They, like me, would follow the pattern to the T. Not Stacey! She thinks like an engineer, so sees things differently and reworks patterns, recipes & computer programmes alike to make them better or different! We are so proud of her! 🙂  She  is in Cambodia  with her wonderful husband Adrian,  until the end of next month and then the two of them are off to Vietnam for a few months. We will see them back home in SA August at the latest. I miss Adrian as well. He’s such a nice guy. I miss his sense of humour and I miss his games of chess with David. We will miss his birthday in June. I once gave he and David disposable razors as part of their Christmas present…it was years ago, but David reminded me the other day they were the worst razors they had ever used! 🙂 🙂  I’ll never live it down!

On the way back to the car from the wool shop, I passed this…

Lotus 7It’s a Lotus 7. I wouldn’t mind going for a spin in that! On Sunday on our way home from Betty’s Bay we followed this next car for about 30km. Eventually we were able to get a photo of it at a traffic light…

Rolls RoyceLook how big the wheels are…

WheelIt had a Gauteng number plate, must be very heavy on fuel, but a real treat in which to tour the country.

So the Oscar Pistorius bail hearing continues. It will be interesting to see if there is an outcome today. A listener Roelf, emailed me Proverbs 18:17 which very succinctly summed up the events of yesterday’s testimony:

The first to speak in court sounds right – until the cross examination begins.”

Yep! Even in Solomon’s day, court cases were in session! You find the most amazing verses in the Bible!

God rules!

In His Grip,

Helga x 🙂
