A Lovely Family Day

As today ends, I have to say, a lot of gratitude fills my soul!

Hanging over my head has been the month ahead bringing with it the unknown in regard to teaching applicants who need to attend interviews in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. We have been waiting for the interview dates and each day that has passed increases the possibility that the dates may spill into October when I am out the country!

They were released today and they are mid September!

I cannot tell you the relief regarding this news. I just felt God’s hand on this. I will be able to wrap up all the interviews with a week to spare. It means I will have time to show Riana what is required regarding all the post interview paperwork and she will be able to take over that part when I am on holiday. Now I can do some planning and Riana is happy that she doesn’t have to handle the interviews without me.

Thank you Lord.

#401 of my 1000 thanks indeed is for this news – that the interviews should end by 20th September. Happy dance!

I had to do some work today as my colleague is away and today is the first work day in the Middle East. It was while checking her email that I read the email pertaining to the interview dates. Tomorrow Dee is back and we will catch up. From now on, it’s going to be crazy at work, so I’ll be busy until we leave. What I must not forget is that I am on-air at CCFm this Wednesday from 7-9am for Share-a-thon 2017! I will have to set my alarm!

The rest of this happy day was spent in the company of Stacey, Adrian, David and of course Mike. These are special days. It’s not often that all five of us are together. We had a special sit down lunch and had a fun-filled game of 30 seconds. Adrian and David played against Stacey and I. David is always very hard to beat, but we managed to pip him at the post!  Such fun!

Mike spent some of the afternoon reading about crime in Italy. Scamsters abound, so we don’t think for a moment that the crime that plagues South Africa is absent elsewhere. We will be on our guard.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.  Do everything in love.

Such sound advice.

These are the day!

Keep the smile going.

God bless you!

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
