A Day of Three Frustrations

|This too shall pass! And it did. Today is almost at an end. My headache has all but gone and the frustrations that have punctuated my working hours have also disappeared.

The day started well. I went to gym early, was home and showered by 8am. I did a load of washing and really felt on top of things. It was mid to late morning that it all began to go pear-shaped. To start with Courage was varnishing the garage doors and the fumes were intense. I opened the balcony doors to get some air but soon closed them because the neighbour was cutting his hedge. The cry of the bandsaw roared through the open doors interrupting my concentration. Those two irritations added to the biggest and most maddening frustration – the server I work on was today, painfully slow. I can usually deal with about 100 emails in an hour. Today, it took me more than double that time. After it had some maintenance done on it, it was a little better, but when I’d done the most important work at 3-30pm, I turned off and got some fresh air for my throbbing head!

That worked. Some dinner, some down time and now I’m up to wrapping up the blog and possibly, maybe venturing back online to deal with some unfinished business. Maybe not!

#964 of my 1000 thanks – ICE CREAM! Comfort food delux on frustrating days.

The garage doors look wonderful and so does the neighbour’s hedge!

It is true that frustrations and vexations come, but again I am reminded of this little treasure:

It’s a learning process. Learn to be content. Be intentional about it. This is a good life we lead!

Jeremiah 7:23

Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.

I end the day happy.

These are the days.

Keep the smile going.

God bless you.

In His Grip,

Helga xx 🙂
