102 people came to faith in Christ…

3-20pm

Today’s been a happy day. It was up early and off to pray. Then to CCFm, where the sunrise was particularly spectacular…

Jonathan was on Rise and Shine with me from 7-8am in place of PJ who is now living in Johannesburg. It was great to have Jonathan who comes with lots of experience and is a natural behind the mic. 🙂

Originally today I had an appointment at 11am, but late yesterday it was cancelled. I decided today, to get two important things ticked off my ‘to-do’ list. One was hand in all my financial documents to the guy who does my tax and second was to renew my driver’s license. I have photos so was all on track to getting both of these things done, when, I put my hand into the pocket of my sun visor of my car and guess what? No driver’s license! It’s always there, so what exactly has happened to it, I’m not sure. I’m driving around with no driver’s license so it’s just as well I haven’t been stopped. I’ll wait for Mike to get home and if it’s not in his car, I’ll just go along tomorrow to renew it anyway and they can give me a temporary one.

I went home via Boyes Drive…the sea was just such an amazing colour, I HAD to stop to take a photo. It was a feast for the eyes….

And another…

The plot at this point is for sale..cough up about R5 million & you’ll get the view and add to your property portfolio…it’s the plot only, mind you, so you’d better add another few million for the house…

Beautiful False Bay.

After that, I went to the Mall, had a cappuccino and half tramezzini and did show prep for tomorrow. 🙂 Then I did some shopping, dropped off the financial docs and came home!

So my journey through the Bible has bought me to Jeremiah 17, where I let the words in verse 7 & 8 wash over me…

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

That is what God wants for us. He will never let us down. He has us in hand and there are no surprises with Him. He knows our needs. The Amplified Version says ‘blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and who relies on the Lord.’ That is what we have to focus on doing – we believe in the Lord, we trust in the Lord, we rely on the Lord. So, we don’t need to fear when tough times come. We will be okay. We don’t need to worry in times of drought because like a tree’s roots are well connected to a source of water – we are well connected with our Source of provision. I love that this came up today, because yesterday I heard 102 people came to faith in Christ through the messages aired on Radio CCFm during the month of September. That is fruit!

TGBTG!

God bless you loads!

In His Grip,

Helga x 🙂
